All three books are by Lucy Monroe. You may read all three as a standalone. But it’ll be best if you read all three. As the books will explain and introduce all the secondary characters who are appearing in the books.
If I find you naked in my bed, I will fire you on the spot.”
Maggie didn’t need the warning. She knew that Principe Tomasso Scorsolini, her gorgeous Italian boss, was way out of her league.
But now Tomasso needs to marry. He’s had enough of gold diggers–innocent Maggie will be the perfect convenient wife!
Maggie doesn’t know exactly what her new royal duties will be. Though being naked in the prince’s bed is no longer a firing offense–it’s a requirement!
Now, I’m having lots of different thoughts when I’m reading this book. The sadness and hurt Maggie felt when she learned that the one man she loves is marrying someone else. The hurt and humiliation she felt when he brought home another woman with him when she decided to give herself to Tomasso. But what I dislike her was that she give in to Tomasso too easily. There are no courting on his part. No cheating.
Danette Michaels knew that when she became Principe Marcello Scorsolini‘s secret mistress there would be no marriage, no future, and no public acknowledgment. At the time it was enough.
But Danette can’t be Marcello’s secret any longer. She wants him, all or nothing — even if it means their affair is over.
Until a pregnancy test changes the rules forever…
Well, Marcello is a widow. His one true love wife passed away and he thought that he would never find another one like her ever again. Just like the Scorsolini’s curse. The men can only love once. But when Danette finds out that how little she is in Marcello’s eyes, she wanted out of their affair. Cos she does not want to be the dirty little secret anymore. But Marcello wouldn’t want to let her go. Thinking that he is still not tired of her. Is he not letting her go due to not able to love her or much more? She is strong as in she does not let Marcello runs her life. She is right about some of the things and so does Marcello. Pretty interesting couple to read. No cheating.
Last but not least, their eldest brother and the crown prince Claudio and his wife Therese. They are also my favorite couple story to read.
Principe Claudio Scorsolini‘s future wife must make a suitable figurehead for his people and provide him with an heir. Claudio’s convenient union with Therese is hailed a success: his subjects have fallen in love with her and she’s performed her duties in the bedroom — to Claudio’s immense satisfaction.
However, Therese has secretly fallen in love with her husband. How can their marriage survive when she knows she can never give Claudio a child?
Claudio and Therese are not the usual normal couple we see each day. Claudio as the crown prince and Therese as the future queen. They are not affectionate as his brothers and Therese is aware. Therese thought that Claudio marries her because she is raised as a princess material and he doesn’t love her. When Therese realized that something is wrong with her and she couldn’t give Claudio the one he wants, she wants out of the marriage. But before she further clarifies herself, Claudio thought that she is in love with some other man and he wants no more to do with her and agree to her divorce. No cheating only assumption on Claudio’s part.
