Prepared some tissue while reading this book, you’ll need it cos I need it. There’re some scenes in there very sad and heartbreaking to read.

The story starts out kind of slow but intriguing to nudge you keep going. Olivia is a homicide detective who received a call required her to go to a scene where there are dead bodies found. A dead girl is found in a building that’s on fire. And another dead body who’s being shot in the heart. This is not a normal arson case. This is a homicide.ย

Then Olivia and her partner received another call that another building is burnt and there’s a dead man in there. He’s already dead when the fire started. So who’s killing these people?ย

It’s very early to know the “WHO”. But it’s the “WHY” I don’t know. Karen Rose always have a way to keep her book interesting and suspenseful that you won’t know what’s coming.ย
